likesdinos:

Hello! My name is Mitchie, and I am a 21 year old queer trans-guy in a not so hot family situation. I will not be going into specifics, but I am planning on leaving them behind entirely in a few months, once I have the funds.
Unfortunately, due to my the controlling nature of my family, I do not have access to my own money that I’ve made in the past, nor am I permitted to work a “real job”, so I am selling handmade bowties, as a way to make the money I need to get myself into a safe and loving environment. I need money to open a bank account for myself and then I will be able to open an online store as well to make this easier.

Each bowtie is $15 plus shipping. If you’re local to Sacramento or Stockton, I might be able to arrange a meeting place so we don’t have to worry about shipping prices.
Please inbox me if you are interested!

It is possible to make custom orders if you direct me to a certain fabric you want, but I can’t guarantee that I’ll be able to get the fabric.

Thank you so much, and please signal boost this even if you cannot buy one, anything helps.

Yarn-wrapped accessories in this and last year’s colors
Borrowed @alyssalouiseb’s camera today to show you how I ride the trend train.
Somewhere in the distance someone is screaming, “Color blocking na naman?!” LOL. But yeah.

Made these zippered clutch bags from fabric scraps, old projects, old clothing, and a pillowcase as giveaways. Now thinking if I should sell them instead.

DIY “leather”-sleeved shirt, inspired by the coats in Burberry S/S’11 RTW (I personally believe it’s not a trend that’s supposed to die).
The sleeves are made from leggings!

DIY vertical herb garden

I love cooking with herbs and even more growing our own food to eat, but our backyard right now is cramped with of all kinds of botanical species. I figured I could work my way around that by making a vertical garden of comestibles, so I’m pegging this one below by Nest In Style

I like this better than most other wall/vertical garden designs that use up pots and anchors - those still look cluttered to me even when hung. Plus, I really want to use up what we have here and all our pots/cans already have plants/contain something else.

Bamboo could be a substitute for the gutter container and hemp rope for the steel, but that really depends on what I could salvage from anywhere. That reminds me - I do have steel cord hanging around so I’ll probably use that up. I’m making this (one of) my August projects.
